Malfie's foster report
Housetrained: Yes - perfect. Even asks when he needs to go out.
On the lead:First class - walks perfectly at your side with a slack lead and stays "in the zone"
In the house: Vacuum round him, turn on the washing machine or the TV, he's totally unphased. He bounds up and down the stairs, and treats polished floors like a pro. Very interested in sofas - he'd up beside you given half a chance, but he knows his place and doesn't push his luck!
Food: He ate just about everything we offered him (though cake was a special favourite and Hills kibble wasn't too popular.....)
At night:Sleeps through the night without a murmur or a whimper. In fact he sleeps for Britain any time, day or night.
In the car:An excellent traveller. He did over 400 miles on his weekend with us and took it all in his stride.
Training:Responds to his name consistently and showed good recall at the off-lead session with Greyhound Gap. (Also answers perfectly to Dufus, Numptey, Here, Supper etc)
With people:Friendly, sociable and very, very affectionate - he's a real cuddle-monster and will take as much fussing as you are prepared to give.
With other dogs:Got on famously with our greyhound girl Jazz - friendly, playful and companionable but not at all in her face. Brilliant with all breeds and all sizes of dog, friendly and well mannered, totally unphased by noisy, pushy dogs with over-the-top behaviour
Handling:He is comfortable and trusting with people handling him – he collected a small cut on his foot while on the beach and let us inspect, clean and dress it without a murmur, even though it was clearly quite painful
Character:Gentle, loving and affectionate, he wants to be friends with everyone. He tried so hard to please when he was with us, watching and copying our greyhound girl and trying so hard to fit in. He has lived in a home before and so needs to be back in a home again soon. He will make the perfect , easy companion for whoever picks this lovely boy.
